The Elements of Innovation Discovered
Announces commemorative wax and scholarship program Metal Tech News – March 10, 2021
From its humble Chicago roots to distribution in more than 120 countries, Turtle Wax celebrates its 75th Anniversary with the limited introduction of Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Graphene Paste Wax.
This new Turtle Wax product is enhanced with a patent-pending technology that utilizes graphene, a wonder material that has emerged as a top trend in car care.
Originally developed in founder Ben Hirsch's bathtub, Turtle Wax is a premier car polish that has evolved with the times and is now using the infinite potential of graphene to give car enthusiasts a high-tech coat for their beloved rides.
In the city streets and country roads, Turtle Wax has been an integral part of American culture for the last 75 years and has solidified its place in the hearts and minds of vehicle aficionados as the No. 1 brand across multiple categories including carpet and fabric care, spray wax, lens restoration kits, compounds, and polishes, scratch removers as well as a bug, tar, and sticker removers.
"It's been an incredible journey over the last 75 years, and I'm so lucky to have had a front-row seat to it all," said Turtle Wax Executive Chairman Denis John Healy. "The fact that we continue to expand to new channels and territories – yet stay true to our values – and make sure our products continue to be easy to use, are grounded in technology, and always come at a great price, is a testament to the foundation built by my grandparents and parents. I'm honored to continue their legacy and excited for what we have in store for 2021 and beyond."
With innovation at its core, Turtle Wax began offering its commemorative 75th anniversary Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Graphene Paste Wax to customers on March 5.
Featuring a unique blend of 10 waxes that are infused with silicon dioxide ceramic and graphene, the combined key benefits of this limited-edition wax include incredible gloss, slickness, water repellency, chemical resistance along with heat dissipation for increased UV protection, and helps keep water and contaminants from sticking to the vehicle resulting in a clean, protected, and easier-to-maintain finish.
For Turtle Wax, graphene has been an industry game-changer and a key factor in the early successes of the brand's Hybrid Solutions Pro line.
Launched in December 2020, the proprietary patent-pending Hybrid line was one of the first graphene-infused products available at mass retail – all of which include 1 & Done Compound Correct & Finish, To the Max Wax, and Pro Flex Wax – which holds a #1 Amazon New Release Badge, keeping Turtle Wax as relevant as ever in the car care industry.
Also showcased for this commemorative event, Turtle Wax has also begun its Healy Family Scholarship Program, which will support training and educational opportunities for future detailers and chemists.
Since its founding in 1944, it is clear the Turtle Wax legacy is going long and strong and with the breakthroughs and innovations now provided by graphene, Turtle Wax will easily continue to keep ahead of the game.
